Dr.Öğretim ÜyesiFatma Zeynep EĞİLMEZChairZeynep Aksoy Eğilmez studied at Ankara State Conservatory, M.S.U., Istanbul State Conservatory and Florida Atlantic University Music Department. Our State Artist in Turkey Gulay Uğurat and Gülşin Onay, Professor Judith Burgang and Leonid Tree from America are virtuoso piano teachers who are great role in the formation of artist personality of the artist. She worked as a korrepetitor, theory and piano teacher at Florida Atlantic University, where she held a postgraduate degree in Piano Pedagogy. After directing her life to Istanbul, Eğilmez has trained students for the piano and theory certification exams of ABRSM and LCM systems for a long time, and is a permanent korrepetitor and piano teacher of the Haliç University Conservatory. In addition to being the Erasmus coordinator and thesis advisor, she is also the head of the Turkish Music Department and the Head of the Main Art Department.

Prof.Erol DERANErol Deran, the child of a family from Istanbul, received his first music lessons from officer and composer Burhanettin Deran. During the period 1957-1961 he continued his work as a kanun artist at Istanbul Radio. He was a member of the İ.T.Ü. Board of Directors of the State Conservatory of Turkish Music, Instrument Making, Voice Education, Basic Sciences, Instrument Education Departments and head of the Department of plectrum instruments. He retired from his position there in 2004 and started the Turkish Music Conservatory of Haliç University in the same year. In 1999, the artist's paintings and musical works were presented at the Szechenyi State Library in Budapest as the Silde show and then performed in concert. He has written two books entitled “The Life and compositions of Burhanettin Deran” and “Examples from the past from Makam to Maqama in Turkish Music".

Prof.Mutlu Demir TORUNBorn in Beypazarı, Mutlu Torun is a graduate of the State Fine Arts Academy, Department of Architecture. He started music with mandolin, then studied oud and guitar. He took classical guitar lessons from Andrea Paleologos and later flamenco guitar lessons from Pepe Rodiguez, Rafael Nogales and Nino Ricardo in Spain. Most distinguished masters of "saz" in Turkish music, Niyazi Sayın, Akagündüz Kutbay, Cuneyd Orhon, Ihsan Ozgen, Erol Feran, Ruhi Ayangil such as dual with artists - with a triple instrument groups, Turkey's many cities in was attended concerts abroad, gave recitals, radio-TV broadcasting joined. He continued his harmony lessons with Cenan Akın and İstemihan Taviloğlu. Later he became a student of Cemal Reşid Rey. He studied jazz theory with Nail Yavuzoğlu. Thirty-three of his works were awarded in single and polyphonic composition competitions. Apart from two separate oud methods, there are many publications containing his compositions.

Öğr. Gör. Dr.Dilan AKINCIShe was born in Istanbul. In 2004, she won the High School Circuit of the Turkish music State Conservatory of Istanbul Technical University. She graduated from the higher Department of Instruments in 2011. In 2011, she graduated with a graduation work on “the life of Tofig Guliyev from Azerbaijani composers and the performance of his five works with Tar”. She entered the Turkish Music Master's program with thesis at the Haliç University Conservatory. She served as a lecturer at the Faculty of Art Design of Düzce University. In 2015, she started as a lecturer at the Turkish Music Conservatory of Haliç University giving bağlama, solfege and Theory of Turkish folk music, style and repertoire of Turkish Folk Music and collective practice courses. She entered the “proficiency in Art” Program at Haliç University Conservatory and graduated in 2020.

Dr.Öğretim ÜyesiGüldeniz EKMENIn 1979, She graduated from the ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory. She completed her Master's and Art Proficiency at the same institution. She took part in the establishment of Ege University State Turkish Music Conservatory in 1984. In 1996, she became an assistant professor of Turkish Art Music in Selcuk University. In 2000, upon the invitation of Fırat University, she established Fırat University State Conservatory; she retired from here after ten years of management. She is still working as the Director of Haliç University Conservatory. Having an innovative approach in music, Ekmen has received many awards in its field. She has signed many soundtracks and is the first female film music composer. 40 of his 110 works in various forms are in the TRT Repertoire and she has 3 albums of her works.

Öğr.Gör.Mehmet Yücel PAŞMAKÇIHe was born in 1935 in Kadıköy, Istanbul. In 1954, he started to work at Istanbul Radio as a Turkish folk music singer. In 1974, he was elected as the President of the Turkish Folklore Foundation. He directed programs such as "Yurttan Sesler", Women and Men societies, "Baglama” team on Istanbul Radio. In 1976, he was appointed as the Head of TRT Music Department, Turkish Folk Music in Ankara. He represented TRT for 2 years in the Folklore Sub-Group of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) headquartered in Geneva. After working as a program specialist at TRT Istanbul Radio between 1979 and 1983, he was transferred to the Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory. He contributed to the education of many students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He gave lectures at the Adapazarı and Bursa Municipal Conservatories on weekends.

Öğr.Gör.Tolgahan ÜSKÜDARLIHe was born in Istanbul in 1969. He graduated from ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory in the Department of Instrument Education, Viola-Violin in 1991. He worked as a violin artist at TRT Istanbul Radio between 1993-2005. Tolgahan Üsküdarlı also performs the qanun instrument. He gave concerts in Turkey and abroad. In 2010, he gave a concert with Yüce Gümüş (oud) and Yasin Özçimi (ney) in Rome due to UNESCO's announcement of "2010 The Year of Katip Çelebi". In same year, he gave concert with the same team in a conference that was held at 50th anniversary of the Vatikan - Turkey relationship. In 2011, he performed the Mevlevi ritual with Yüce Gümüş and Yasin Özçimi at the opening of the Lefkoşe Mevlivahane in Nicosia, Cyprus. He was a columnist in the magazine “Kadem” which is about music-sufism and literature. Since 2000, he has been working as a instructor at the Haliç University Conservatory.

Arş.Gör.Tolga Volkan KILIÇHe was born in 1986 in Istanbul. He completed both the primary school education and secondary school education in Istanbul Fatih Hırkaişerif Primary School. In 2001, he started the high school education in the Instrument Education Department of the ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory. After graduating in 2004, he continued his undergraduate studies in the same department. He completed his undergraduate education in 2011. In 2019, he started his master at Istanbul Technical University Institute of Social Sciences Instrument-Sound program. Kılıç, who has been practising the qanun instrument since his chilhood, studied three-stringed kamanche with Kamran ERDOĞRU during his high school period and became a student of İhsan ÖZGEN during his undergraduate period. He worked with disabled children at the Zeytinburnu Children with Autism Education Center between 2012 and 2014. He has participated in many concerts in Turkey and abroad with the qanun instrument.

Arş.Gör.Fahrettin ÖZDEŞHe was born in Adana in 1986. During his secondary school years, he won the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory talent exam and graduated with a good degree after 4 years of education in Baglama Department. During his education, he worked with Arif Yanmaz, Nurettin İlhan and Murat Kaya. He graduated from Sakarya University Engineering Faculty Metallurgy and Materials Engineering Department in 2005 and completed his undergraduate education in 2009. Following his graduation, he started his master's degree in Gebze Technical University, Department of Materials Science and Engineering and continued part of his education at RWTH Aachen University in Germany as part of the Erasmus Program. In 2016, he passed the Sakarya University Institute of Social Sciences Music Sciences graduate exam and started her graduate studies in the field of music. During his studies, he took part in scientific projects.

Öğr.Gör.Dr.Mılad SALMANI(Part Time)He was born in 1988 in Urmia, Iran. In 2010, he graduated from Tehran, Allâme-i Tabâtabâî University, Department of Turkish Language and Literature. He started his master's degree in Istanbul University Turkish Language Department in 2013 and completed his education in 2015. In the same year, he started his doctorate in the Department of Turkish-Islamic Literature at Istanbul University and in 2020 he completed his thesis titled "Sarı Abdullâh Efendi's' Cevâhir-i Bevâhir-i Mesnevi, Volume I (Review-Text)" and became a doctor. Milad Salmani has been teaching music literature and Ottoman Turkish at Haliç University Conservatory and Graduate Education Institute since 2018-2019 academic year. He also manages beginner and advanced Persian language lessons and Persian poetry readings at the Kubbealtı Academy Culture and Art Foundation.

He entered ITU State Conservatory of Turkish music in 1976 and graduated from the same school in 1986. Istanbul Technical University. He completed his master's and doctoral programs at the Institute of Social Sciences. In 1987, he started his career as a violin Artist at TRT Istanbul Radio. At the same institution he served as choir conductor, maestro violin performer, program producer. He was also a member of the Turkish Sufi Music Repertory Board and the Turkish Art Music Research Board at the same institution. He gave numerous concerts at home and abroad. He has performed and directed thousands of concerts, live broadcasts and programs on TRT television and radio. There are composing works in song, divan, ilahi, peşrev, saz semaisi and saz work forms.

Öğr.Gör.Ahmet ÖZHAN(Part Time)In the late 1960s, he studied music at the Istanbul municipal Conservatory and the Üsküdar Music Society. His first professional stage experience was in 1968 at the Bebek Municipal Casino. Ahmet Özhan, who came to the stage at a young age, became known as a popular Turkish music commentator of the 1970s and 1980s. In addition to his record work, he has worked as a soloist and presenter on Motion Pictures, Television Series and concerts, radio work, and music programs of various television channels. There are many 45s, record labels, cassettes and CD works. In addition to popular and classical Turkish music, Ahmet Özhan has been a pioneer of a new movement in his country with his studies of Sufi music since the early 80s.

He graduated from Marmara University Music Teaching and Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory Opera departments at the undergraduate level. Then he completed his master's degree at Istanbul University State Conservatory Institute of Social Sciences. He continues his education at the same university at the stage of Proficiency in Art. He worked as a choir artist at the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet. He is working as a lecturer in the field of "Voice Education" in the Department of Turkish Music of the Haliç University Conservatory.

Öğr.Gör.Gökhan FİLİZMAN(Part Time)He was born in Istanbul in 1978. In 1989, he started his education in the Instrument Education Department of the ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory. In 1996, he started the "Instrument Education Higher" education at the school and graduated in 2001. Filizman, who has been taking part in many concerts with ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory Orchestra, ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory Alumni Association since 1997, took Tanbur lessons from Mehmet Şeker; Turkish Music Solfege lessons from Alaeddin Yavaşça, Tülin Korman, Erol Sayan; Repertoire lessons from Mustafa Doğan Dikmen. In 2003, he graduated from Haliç University Institute of Social Sciences Turkish Music Graduate Program. He took part in concerts and festivals in Turkey and abroad. In 2010, his solo album of "Tanburi Bestekar Dürri TURAN" was released. He took part in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Istanbul State Turkish Music Ensemble as a guest artist.

Öğr.Gör.Yusuf Sadun AKSÜT(Part Time)He was born in Merzifon in 1932. Sadun Aksüt got into the Istanbul Municipal Conservatory where he took lessons from Şefik Gürmeriç and Kemal Gürses. During his conservatory years, he joined the Advanced Turkish Music Conservatory Association where he took lessons from Hüseyin Sadettin Arel, Dr. Suphi Ezgi and Laika Karabey. He started his tambour education from Laika Karabey and then in early 1950s he continued his education by taking lessons from İzzettin Ökte in Üsküdar Music Society. He has been a member of the TRT Turkish Art Music Repertory Board for 16 years, has more than a hundred songs, thirty hymns, about sixty instrumental pieces from various maqams, twenty-eight books, three children songs and a Mevlevi ritual in Sazkar. Some of his “saz” works, "In the Village", "Bride Greeting" and "Festival in the Aegean" were made polyphonic by Yalçın Tura.

Öğr.Gör.Dr.Mehmet İhsan ÖZER(Part Time)In 1981, passing the TRT Istanbul Radio "trainee instrument artist" exam, he was in this institution for a while. He worked as a zither at the State Conservatory Turkish Music Executive Committee and at the Ministry of Culture Istanbul State Turkish Music Ensemble between 1988-1990. In 2011, he gave a concert with the Friendship Symphony Orchestra in the project "From Industry to Anatolia". He conducted the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, in which "kanun" artist Bahadır Şener participated as a soloist. In 2014, he gave the concert "From the Language of Mevlânâ" with the Symphonic Orchestra with the soloist of Ahmet ÖZHAN at the Tim Maslak Show Center. Tura ”conducted the orchestra consisting of traditional and western instruments. In 2018, he directed the world premiere of the "Yunus Emre" Symphony, composed by Halil Can Öztürk, at the CRR Concert Hall.

Öğr.Gör.Günay UYSAL(Part Time)The artist who born in Tekirdağ in 1970, started his cello education at the Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory after receiving guitar and harmony education during his primary education. During his education, he worked with Necati Giray, Head Cellist of the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra for six years. He received training on Baroque music performance from Sami Öztop, one of the virtuoso artists of the same orchestra. He also worked on his solo performance with Reşit Erzin, faculty member of Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory. Immediately after graduating from the school, he worked as a lecturer at the ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory in the instrument training department. The artist, who is still an artist of the Ministry of Culture, works as a Cello lecturer at the Conservatory of Haliç University.

Here he graduated from the Middle, High School, University and master's degrees respectively, graduating in 1995. During his education, he was well liked and appreciated by his teachers(especially his bağlama teacher, Nida Tüfekçi)..He entered the music market in 1985 at the age of 18..He has given concerts with numerous artists and accompanied them on their album tie-in..He made individual albums..He has performed numerous successful concerts and recitals both at home and abroad. He received many awards and numerous plaques for his achievements. He has been conductor of many choirs and continues to perform..He has been working for a long time as a teaching assistant at the Haliç University Conservatory.

Öğr.Gör.Nalan ÇAKIR(Part Time)She was born in Istanbul. She started music from the age of six by taking solfeggio, piano and mandolin lessons. She worked in TRT Istanbul Children's Choir for six years in the choir directed by Cenan Akın and Yücel Elmas. In 1982, she passed the exams of ITU Turkish Music Conservatory Instrument Education Department and started violin education in the conservatory. She passed the exams of the Presidential Classical Turkish Music Choir and started to work as a violin artist. She has been involved in all domestic and international concerts and broadcasts of the choir and occasionally worked as a saz soloist. She received her master's degree from ITU Social Sciences Institute in 2000 and during this education, she became a student of teachers like Mutlu Torun, Yalçın Tura and Nail Yavuzoğlu. Between 1996-2000, she worked as a lecturer at the ITU Turkish Music Conservatory.

Öğr.Gör.Burcu KARADAĞ(Part Time)She was born in Istanbul. After primary school, she entered the Instrumental Education Department of ITU State Conservatory of Turkish Music. She learned Ney from Salih Bilgin and Niyazi Sayın. She entered the Higher Department of Instrument Education in 1996. She graduated in 2000. She completed her master's degree at the Institute of Social Sciences of Haliç University. From her school years, she gave concerts in over fifty cities both domestically and abroad. In March 2012, she performed as soloist at the world premiere of “Hezarfen Ney Concerto” composed by Fazil Say in Mannheim, Germany. In 2012, she represented Turkey at the International Flute Festival held in New Delhi, India. In 2013, her album NEYZEN was released, consisting of outstanding works of Classical Turkish Music and being the first album to be released by a female ney performer.

Öğr.Gör.Ali YILMAZ(Part Time)He started his undergraduate studies at ITU State Conservatory of Turkish music in 1975 and graduated from the Department of Basic Sciences in 1979. In the same year, he took a position as a lecturer in Turkish Folk Music (Dilli Kaval, Dilsiz Kaval, Mey and Zurna) at the school he graduated from. He retired in 2020, continuing his duties as lecturer, research assistant and artist lecturer. He served as Head of the Department of Basic Sciences and Instruments and in the Department of instruments; as head of Mey Art Branch and Reeds Art Branch. He worked at Adapazarı Municipal Conservatory for eight years and at Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory for eight years, as Deputy Head of Department, Head of Department and teaching woodwind instruments. He participated for ten years in Classical Music Festival and Jazz Festivals held in Afyonkarahisar.

Öğr.Gör.Hasan HEKİMOĞLU(Part Time)He was born in 1989 in Burdur. He worked as a chorist in Burdur Municipality Polyphonic Children's Choir, which was established in 1996. With this choir, he won the world championship at the polyphonic choirs festival held in the Czech Republic in 2000. In 2008, he won the Basic Sciences department of the Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory. He took oud lessons from Mehmet Emin BİTMEZ and Erdem Şentürk. He accompanied many concerts and artists during her undergraduate education. After receiving his graduate in 2013, he received formation training at Marmara University, and in 2017, he won the postgraduate exam in the Turkish Music in Haliç University. During his graduate education, he took lessons from masters such as Mutlu TORUN and Erol Deran. During these years, he also taught oud at Ibn Haldun University.

Öğr.Gör.Mehmet ERENLER(Part Time)Mehmet Erenler was born in Ankara in 1946. In 1966, he passed the exam opened by TRT and started to work in Ankara Radio. In the following years, he worked as a lecturer at the Istanbul State Conservatory. Erenler, who worked as a baglama artist and choir conductor at Istanbul Radio, where he was appointed after 1980, participated in many concerts, seminars and meetings in Turkey and abroad. Erenler, who has a unique attitude in terms of working style and performance competence, is one of the rare baglama artists who remain loyal to the authentic playing style but have created his own personal style within this framework. Among the folk songs compiled by Mehmet Erenler, who is known for his performance as a compiler and choir conductor. He has prepared more than twenty albums and is still an artist of TRT Istanbul Radio.

After graduation, he worked as a violin, guitar and piano master teacher in Public Education Centers in Izmit and Istanbul. He also performed as a piano and singer at Tarabya Hotel and Silivri Klasis Hotel. He worked as a sound technician, concert stage operation officer at Cyprus Girne Acapulco Hotel. Later, he took part in music arrangement and composition works with professional and amateur musicians, along with many music groups at Kremlin Palas, Topkapı Palas, Adakule Hotel, Klasis Hotel, Tarabya Hotels etc. He performed as a musician and singer. He also prepared musical back in track in the studio environment for many musicians to use on stage. Workstation for compositions with professional musicians etc. He made computer-based music arrangements. He also accompanied keyboard piano piano in many professional orchestras. He performed in many concerts with opera singer İlhan Uğur and Terane Abbaszade at TRT Istanbul Television Foreign Productions Program Orchestra (Keyboard and Piano) Istanbul Harbiye Army House Orchestra (Keyboard Piano and Vocal). He worked as a violin instructor and manager in Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory. He then went to California, USA in 2013 to study English and returned a year later. After coming back, he continued to compose and arrange music for professional or amateur soloist bands and also continued to work in official institutions as a music instructor. He still continues his Music woks.

Öğr.Gör.Dr.Mılad SALMANI(Part Time)He was born in 1988 in Urmia, Iran. In 2010, he graduated from Tehran, Allâme-i Tabâtabâî University, Department of Turkish Language and Literature. He started his master's degree in Istanbul University Turkish Language Department in 2013 and completed his education in 2015. In the same year, he started his doctorate in the Department of Turkish-Islamic Literature at Istanbul University and in 2020 he completed his thesis titled "Sarı Abdullâh Efendi's' Cevâhir-i Bevâhir-i Mesnevi, Volume I (Review-Text)" and became a doctor. Milad Salmani has been teaching music literature and Ottoman Turkish at Haliç University Conservatory and Graduate Education Institute since 2018-2019 academic year. He also manages beginner and advanced Persian language lessons and Persian poetry readings at the Kubbealtı Academy Culture and Art Foundation.

After completing his primary, secondary and high school education, he entered the ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory in 1983 with the encouragement of his father Kamuran Yarkın, a tanbur artist and composer. He became a student of Kani Karaca and Hurşit Ungay. He participated in university concerts as a rhythm artist during his student years. He graduated in 1987 and started as a lecturer at his school the same year. He taught Rhythm Practice and Rhythm Esas Vocational lessons in Folk Dances and Basic Sciences departments until 2001, and he trained many students. With his project "Let's Live Together", he performed concerts abroad with a religious and non-religious repertoire from Greek, Armenian, Jewish and Turkish cultures. He still works as rhythm art in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Istanbul State Turkish Music Ensemble.

Mendeş, who turned to *keman kemane (kind of Turkish violin) due to his interest in stringed instruments, started his duty by winning the art exam held by TRT in 1981. He represented his country with various concerts at home and abroad. He brought the violin named keman kemane, which is widely known in the Aegean Region, to a wide audience with its different style of playing attitude. Mendeş, who is a graduate of Anadolu University Social Sciences and served as a member of the TRT General Directorate Music Department Supervisory Board and the Executive Supervisory Board, retired in the 40th year of his duty. During his retirement, he worked as an officer in various universities including Istanbul University Conservatory.

In 1989, she started to work as a "kemençe" (small violin played like cello) artist in the Ministry of Culture Istanbul State Classical Turkish Music Choir. After graduating from ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory in 1991, she worked as a kemençe lecturer in this institution for a short time. She participated in concerts, cassette and CD works and various projects of many artists, especially Alaeddin YAVAŞÇA, Meral UĞURLU, Münip UTANDI, Ahmet ÖZHAN, Melihat GÜLSES, Güzin DEĞİŞMEZ, as a fiddle artist. Öğr.Gör.Nevcivan Sevindik ÖZEL(Part Time)Born in Istanbul, the artist continued his musical life, which he started at a young age after his primary and secondary education, in the ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory, where he entered in the academic year 1978-79. He started working as a Tar artist at Trt Istanbul Radio in 1981. Between 1981-1996, he gave recitals at various universities and AKM. He founded the Folk Instruments Orchestra under TRT, and made multi-voiced arrangements and television programs. In domestic and abroad "Folk Music" festivals, he represented Turkey. He founded the band "Pop Folk" named "Music Passengers" with his wife, the classical fiddle artist Nevbahar Özel, and released two albums. He completed his master's degree at ITU Social Sciences Institute. He released his first personal album titled “Nevcivan Özel Project -“ Taristanbul ”. On December 24, 2010, he made the world premiere of his album "taristanbul" at the İKSV concert hall. He still gives concerts in a wide range from ethnic to jazz and classical in domestic and international projects, prepares cultural projects and works as a Tar teacher at the Haliç University conservatory.

She graduated from Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory Vocal Education Department in 2004. She is continuing her master's degree in the Department of Turkish Music at ITU Institute of Social Sciences. She took part in the concert project named “Migration Folk Songs”, which was co-produced by Holland Theater Rast and Holland Philharmonic Orchestra. She took part in an oratorio about immigration, produced by the Dutch Theater Na De Dam. She took part in the album project "Meeting of Heart" with Yinon Muallem. She played a role of “Tosca” in “Tosca” opera version adapted to folk music and made character’s music. In Turkey and abroad, in a lot of festivals and concert she sing in the languages of the various cultures from Anatolia.

He participated in many competitions during his primary and high school periods and received degrees. In 2008, he got into Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory. During the conservatory years, he took baglama lessons from Arif Sağ, Mehmet Erenler and İrfan Kurt. He took part in various activities within the school. In the same years, he passed the exam held by TRT Istanbul Radio Turkish Folk Music Youth Choir. He graduated from the conservatory in 2013 with a 3rd degree. He continued his graduate stıdy at Haliç University Institute of Social Sciences Turkish Music program. He is currently working as a lecturer at Haliç University and continues his studies in the music market. In 2018, he released an album called "Yolun Başı".

He played bağlama in Trabzon music and folk dances Association and Provincial Directorate of Culture in Turkish folk music ensembles. He graduated from Istanbul Technical University State Conservatory of Turkish Music Department of Basic Sciences. Istanbul Bar Association, Boğaziçi University, Bakırköy Public Education Center; Turkish folk music ensembles. In numerous concerts in many countries and domestically, including France, Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Germany, Belgium, South Korea, Syria; he was featured as a soloist, conductor, bağlama artist and director. He fathered two daughters named İlke and Bilge.
